World Of Warships 0.5.0.2 Aim Assistant (UPDATED)
Whats changed?

Instalation same as before. Unzip to your_game_directory/res_mods/0.5.0.2

In game graphic settings mark field "reduce GUI refresh rate".
Strat/restart your game.

Calculations?

No more. But still some steps needs to be taken.

To get lead marker visible go into full zoom mode. Move your rectile at maximum distance and press key "K" and thats it. Your mod is ready.

By "maximum distance" i mean aiming at clear sea as far as you can reach. No obstacles, mountains etc.

When you switch ammo for first time you have to repeat these steps.

Zoom - Max distance - key K.

To hide marker press key "L". To show again Zoom - Max distance - key K.


The only value you may want to change in config file is <distancescale>. Increase if your shells land behind target, reduce if in front of target.


I was doing my best to put in config correct values for all ships, but I'm just human. I've played so far only couple of battles with this mod so I'm sure i made some mistakes there. If you spot something like marker at wrong position (too high or too low) just leave a comment. I'll try to fix it.


Tenryu, Kuma and Colorado. These ships may show marker at wrong position. I know that. Scripts have to be reworked to get rid of this bug.

  1. sory, english not my language
    max distance changes if you fires from side or from front (from front means "using canon in the direction of your move")
    example ; in cleveland, all canons to one side = 14.60km max and from front max is 14.70 km
    so firing with all guns to a side or using only front guns to fire ahead is not the same ...
    so which one do we use ,

  2. use the aimtechnic you use most with your ship.
    you aim most time to sides,then use side aim.
    ect..

  3. Verry stable & smooth aimcycle with good hits.
    but why zoom + k on every game,on every round,with AP and HE....?
    are the settings for the ship not stored in this aim.xml file after the first zoom + k with AP and HE ?
    the version before was better in my opinions,1x configured in training room and always working.

  8. Too funny reading the comments that insult or complain about a free mods. If you can do better, please go ahead and do so. Otherwise, you could just always learn to aim in WoWS (it's so simple as it is...lol) and not even need a mod.

    1. I was initially against using this mod, never used it until 0.5.0.1. Aim Assist is obviously being used by many, being hit from 25km first shot, hit when behind cover, it does give a little advantage. I can still aim reasonably well, though it helps when the aim assist lets you know immediately the victims course adjustments.

  9. Well done man! Awesome programming! Thank you very much for all the work you put in there for us.
    I do not use it much as I am used to my ship's shells lead time but, it is a very useful tool to learn how much leading you need, especially when you start with a new ship.
    Keep up with the good work!

  10. With Clevelant, fully upgraded, marker appears under the every target, same happens with fully upgraded Omaha. I tested only these 2 ships.

    Any idea for a fix?

    1. If you are using the "zoom out more" mod out of Aslans mod pack try removing it, this fixed it for me pretty much.

  11. Just one thing. The circle keeps twiching back and forth, and the speed indicator above the enemy ship, or any ship on this matter is not stable. For example, the indicator above a Kongo will show 12, 50, 32, 30, 25 and basically all numbers from 9 to 60 in random occurance. How can i fix this?

    1. Sounds like you are still using the old version of this as this is what wargaming did to "fix" it (feeding it false information) this new version is much more stable.

    4. have you changed name of file comsumer_main_scene_low.swf? by removing _low part?
      for me it looks like mod is working with "high GUI refresh rate".

  14. yes a new update will come to fix some bugs,bugs like camoflagues window is blocked and some small tweaks to.
    it works in random & coop near perfect but wrong in training room,also this might be fixed soon.
